Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Cecelib VIP is the reading website operated by C.C., also known as Cecelib, in the Philippines. This notice explains the information used to operate reader accounts, publish discussions, process purchases, and provide access to stories.
The website owner is responsible for the personal information handled through Cecelib VIP. For privacy questions or requests, email hiddenink.by.cc@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your username, email address, display name, password in hashed form, and account or login records. You may also choose to upload a profile photo or provide additional account details.
- Reading and community activity: saved novels, chapter-notification preferences and their enabled periods, notification read history, chapter-access records, ratings, reactions, comments, replies, and their dates. Your display name, avatar, comments, and associated ratings can be shown to readers who can access the relevant discussion.
- Orders and QUILLS: purchased packages, amounts and currency, order status, payment references, QUILLS balances and transaction history, and the chapters unlocked with those credits. Billing or contact details supplied during checkout may also be kept with the order.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser information, request times, login-security records, and website logs used to operate and protect the service. Comments may also carry IP and browser information for moderation.
- Correspondence: information you choose to provide when contacting the website owner, including the details needed to investigate a payment, access, privacy, or copyright concern.
How information is used
We use account information to sign you in and help you recover access; reading records to maintain your library and purchased chapter access, deliver new chapter notifications for novels you follow, and show which updates you have read; and order records to confirm payments, credit QUILLS, and investigate transaction problems. Community information supports discussions, ratings, and moderation. Technical records help detect abuse, limit repeated login attempts, maintain the website, and count novel views.
The reason for handling information depends on the activity: providing the service you request, meeting applicable recordkeeping requirements, protecting the website and its readers, or carrying out an optional action you choose. Where consent is required for a particular use, that use must be handled in accordance with the applicable consent requirements.
Payments and card information
Purchases are managed through WooCommerce, with payments processed by Xendit and the payment providers involved in your chosen method. QUILLS balances and credit transactions are recorded through the website’s myCred integration.
Cecelib VIP does not store your full payment-card number or card security code (CVV). Where card payments are offered, sensitive card details are handled through the payment provider’s payment flow. We retain the order and payment information needed to confirm a transaction, provide purchased credits, and handle payment questions. Depending on the payment method, this can include a provider reference, payment status, and limited or masked payment-method information.
We may share the order amount, currency, reference, purchased items, and relevant billing or contact details with Xendit to process a payment. The provider may collect further information directly for payment authentication, fraud prevention, or its own legal obligations. Its handling of that information is described in Xendit’s privacy policies.
Do not send full card details, security codes, bank PINs, passwords, or one-time verification codes in comments or support messages.
Cookies and browser storage
- Login and security: WordPress and the website use cookies to maintain sessions and protect account forms. Temporary cookies also support Google sign-in when that option is enabled.
- Checkout: WooCommerce uses session information and cookies to support the purchase process.
- Appearance and reading settings: browser local storage remembers your chosen Light, Dark, or Rose Gold appearance and reader preferences such as font size and reading mode. These settings can remain until you clear them or the browser removes them.
- Novel view counts: a first-party visitor cookie, named
cecelib_visitor, contains a random identifier and is set for up to one year. A derived identifier and view time help avoid repeatedly counting the same visitor. A local browser timestamp also helps limit repeat counts.
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser. Clearing or blocking them can sign you out, reset your reading preferences, or prevent parts of sign-in and checkout from working. Clearing browser storage does not delete your account, server-side orders, or purchased-access records.
Service providers and public information
Authorized people administering the website and providers supporting hosting, maintenance, security, and payments may handle information needed for their roles. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or a legal claim.
If you choose Google sign-in when available, the website receives your Google account identifier and verified email address to create or connect your reader account. It does not receive your Google password. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Where a local profile photo is not used, WordPress may request an avatar from Gravatar using a hash of an email address. Loading that image can also disclose technical request information, such as your IP address, to the service. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
Comments and other information you publish in a discussion may be visible to other readers. Do not include personal information you do not want to share. External social profiles and payment-provider pages have their own privacy practices. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Keeping and protecting information
Account, purchase, QUILLS, and chapter-access records help us maintain your account and the access you have purchased. Some records may also be needed for financial recordkeeping, resolving disputes, or investigating misuse. There is currently no fixed automatic deletion period for account and purchase records; deletion requests require an individual review of the records and any applicable retention obligations.
Passwords are stored as hashes, and access to administration is restricted through account permissions. These measures reduce risk, but no website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
Your choices and requests
You can update available account details through your profile, change your appearance and reading settings, and manage cookies through your browser. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion or a copy, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or raise a complaint with a relevant privacy authority.
Send privacy requests to hiddenink.by.cc@gmail.com. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own account. Deleting browser data is different from deleting an account, and some transaction or legal records may need to remain after an account is closed.
You may also raise privacy concerns with the National Privacy Commission, in accordance with its procedures and applicable law.
